These drops are 3-dimensional, very lightweight and made of vermeil style gold {14K real gold over sterling silver}. The real 14K gold layer is 1 micron- 40 times thicker than most gold plated jewelry. They flutter quietly on their hooks. Ear wires are small simple hooks that are done in a matching 14K gold-fill. Optional HOOK upgrade to 14K SOLID gold- can be a wonderful option for some with severe metal allergies.

**ABOUT GOLD-FILL: Gold filled jewelry will not easily lose its real gold outer over time, and if taken care of properly it can last a lifetime. It differs from gold plate in that gold PLATE consists of a thin, microscopic layer of gold that will wear off over time. The gold on gold filled jewelry is around 15 times thicker than gold plated jewelry.

Your earrings will include a pair of tiny removable clear rubber stoppers, to help you keep your earrings securely in your ear.
