This bug is raw brass that I have polished with a jeweler's polishing cloth. This will darken a little more naturally over time with wear and can be quickly polished back to its original shine at any time with any jewelry polishing cloth marked safe for brass (be sure to polish bug only, not the hook, as it is not raw brass).
